Brief Media is now VetMedux™.
The natural question is why now, and why change our name at all?
We own two of the most relied upon, most beloved products in the veterinary industry, Clinician’s Brief® and Plumb’s™. We’re known, established, and trusted—by thousands of caring, brilliant, and discerning (and busy) veterinary professionals.
And we’re growing fast: Across both our subscription and marketing businesses, our subscribers and partners see the value of our commitment to the highest quality education, tools, and guidance.
We became a different company a long time ago—the same way every veterinarian has become a different professional as they’ve stretched to meet the changing demands of this profession.
Elizabeth Green, Founder and CEO, VetMedux (formerly Brief Media)
The simple answer: We became a different company a long time ago—the same way every veterinarian has become a different professional as they’ve stretched to meet the changing demands of this profession. We’ve evolved alongside the veterinarians we support as they balance seismic change: More patients, more responsibilities, and higher stress paired with fewer staff and less time—and the impact of these challenges on their mental health.
Our new company is:
…no longer just a drug reference but a point-of-care partner that operates alongside veterinarians as they diagnose and treat.
…no longer just a journal, but an essential platform with trusted guidance that helps veterinarians navigate their most pressing clinical and professional challenges—every day.
…no longer just in print, but available across every platform and device that matters to our audience, from our intuitive websites to their social media feeds.
We’ve gone from engaging veterinary professionals once a month to multiple times a day across every platform that matters to them.
And after all that, our company needed a new name.
(The name VetMedux is rooted both in our heritage and our future. Read more about how we chose the name here.)
When I think back to two decades ago when I first started Clinician’s Brief, the promise was that we would be so clinically important and yet so brief that we would become essential. I’m proud to say we accomplished that.
Now, our ambitions are wider: To embed deeply in every practitioner’s workflow so we can help them make the critical—and at times exhausting and scary—decisions they make all day long.
Our evolution isn’t over. We’ll always work in service of veterinarians’ needs as they work to help our pets live longer and healthier lives. The launch of VetMedux is just the beginning.
