Partnership Enhances Relationship with WSAVA & Reflects Brief Media’s Growing International Reach
TULSA, OKLAHOMA—Brief Media, publisher of prestigious veterinary medical publication brand Clinician’s Brief, announced today that it has elevated its partnership with WSAVA to a new level. Clinician’s Brief has been named the official clinical practice journal of WSAVA, an association comprised of veterinary organizations from around the world.
“The educational mission of the Global Edition of Clinician’s Brief mirrors that of the WSAVA,” says Dr. Colin Burrows, BVetMed, PhD, Hon FRCVS, DACVIM. “We are thus pleased to enhance our already close relationship in this way.”
As WSAVA President, Dr. Burrows is Emeritus Editor in Chief of Clinician’s Brief and Editor of the Clinician’s Brief Global Edition, a cooperative effort of WSAVA and Brief Media. Published monthly, the Global Edition includes not only core content from the North American edition but also items commissioned with the needs of veterinary professionals in all parts of the world in mind. The Global Edition is free to all members of WSAVA member associations.
The global reach of the WSAVA Global Veterinary Community—which has 95 member and affiliate associations representing more than 157 000 veterinarians from around the globe—makes it ideally suited to partner with Brief Media by providing veterinary teams tools to develop successful practices, build lasting client relationships, and deliver gold-standard patient care.
“I am thrilled at this collaborative opportunity,” says Indu Mani, DVM, ScD, FNAP, Brief Media’s Chief Veterinary Officer and Editor of Clinician’s Brief. “We remain focused on global veterinary education and dissemination of outstanding, peer-reviewed clinical content. As an example, the interactive and novel Diet in Disease series, in partnership with the esteemed WSAVA Global Nutrition Committee, exhorts the clinician to integrate nutritional management into therapy.”
Clinician’s Brief, which veterinary professionals have ranked for 9 consecutive years as the most essential veterinary publication, is a monthly, peer-reviewed journal that provides small animal practitioners and their teams practical, relevant information on the latest topics in veterinary medicine.
In July, Brief Media expanded its international reach by announcing an educational partnership with the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), a WSAVA member organization. Within the partnership, the Global Edition of Clinician’s Brief will be distributed without cost to all CVMA members in good standing.
Clinician’s Brief is the flagship publication brand of Brief Media, a company passionate about creating extraordinary content to support veterinarians and their teams around the world. It distributes that content in the format needed by busy veterinary professionals—brief—and reaches veterinary professionals via multiple touch points and across all devices. Each Brief Media brand helps small animal veterinarians and their teams expand their skills, educate themselves on clinical topics of interest, and engage with content anytime, anywhere.
